Constuction Complete!

FONBAS celebrated the completion of construction of the Newport Beach Animal Shelter with a Ribbon Cutting and Donor Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, May 25, 2023, for over 100 Newport Beach dignitaries and top donors. Under a blue and white rainbow of the new shelter’s colors, the ceremony included congratulations and remarks from Newport Beach Mayor Noah Blom, FONBAS President Jon Langford, Police Chief Joe Cartwright, and Shelter Supervisor Valerie Schomburg. Proclamations congratulating FONBAS were presented by representatives from Assemblymember Diane Dixon and Senator Janet Nguyen’s offices, and FONBAS’ selection as California's 72nd State Assembly district Nonprofit of the Year was announced.
